Dr. Andreas Kannen (firstname.lastname@example.org) is scientist in the department ‘Human Dimension of Coastal Areas’ in the Institute for Coastal Research at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Germany. His scientific focus are approaches for institutional and social assessments of environmental and economic changes in coastal and marine areas, focusing in particular on changes in marine use patterns, offshore wind energy, governance structures and policy analysis. Recent fields of work include Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) and former work Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), both including science-practice interfaces. He has extensive experience as coordinator, project leader and work package leader in large interdisciplinary national and international projects and is involved in a range of professional networks.
